What is Coaching?
Coaching is a partnership between a coach and a client that produces exceptional results for the client. Coaching is all about having someone to believe in you, encourage you and guide you to see things from a different perspective enabling you to set your sights on new horizons. Through a series of structured conversations which are confidential, facilitative (as opposed to directive), forward focused and results driven, the client will set goals which are worthwhile, challenging yet achievable, measurable and inspiring. A step-by-step plan to achieve each goal will be developed and then monitored throughout the coaching series. Coaching is not just about setting and achieving goals, it is a process of introspective learning and development that will help you create new habits that you can use across all areas of your life to achieve success. Coaching is the most effective way of improving performance and fast tracking results.
How long do coaching sessions last?
Our standard coaching packages include the initial session of an hour and a half and thereafter 11 one hour sessions.

What do the 12 sessions entail?
During the initial session we will come up with 3 inspiring, measurable and achievable goals to work with over the 3, 6 or 12 month coaching series. At the end of the 2nd session we will have a strategic plan in place for each goal. Throughout the remaining sessions we will work through your plan making sure you achieve the goals you have set yourself. Along the way you will be held accountable for the actions you set and we will work through any blocks we come across.

Is telephone coaching an option and does it work?
Yes, coaching by telephone has proved to be very effective and an extremely popular method of coaching. It allows you the flexibility of being able to be coached wherever you are and at any time. Telephone coaching also saves you or your coach valuable travelling time.

Can we have a combination of face-to-face and telephone coaching?
Many clients prefer to have at least the first and last session face to face and most of the other sessions by telephone.  The structure will be entirely up to you. Travelling fees will be charged at cost should the coach travel to you.

What do coaches actually do?
‘Coaches are trained to listen, to observe and to customize their approach to individual client needs. They seek to elicit solutions and strategies from the client; they believe the client is naturally creative and resourceful. The coach's job is to provide support to enhance the skills, resources, and creativity that the client already has.’ ICF

How does coaching differ from therapy, mentoring and consulting?
Coaching is forward and future focused supporting personal and professional growth and success. A therapist deals with healing emotions suffered from traumas, resolving difficulties and conflicts and often focuses on the past. Therapy results in an improved emotional state and while coaching may also result in this, the focus is on achieving goals through actions, being kept accountable and following through to the achievement of a specific goal.
Coaching is based on the team being able to generate their own solutions and provides a supportive, discovery-based platform and approach. Consultants are generally specialised experts offering diagnosis, solution and implementation.
A mentor guides their client using their own experience in a specific industry or their own career history. A Coach does not need to be from the same industry and does not need to have been in the same position.

Do you offer therapy, mentoring and consulting?
Our primary focus is coaching delivered through 1-1 coaching sessions and workshops. We do however offer mentoring and consulting under our Business Coaching division. We do not offer therapy but we are able to refer you to trusted therapists should the need arise.
